Remember how much fun you had getting muddy as a kid? Belle Isle State Park Future Naturalist program over Spring Break
When was the last time your kids played in the mud?

Imagine getting a text message like this:

Hey Mom!
Yes, dear?
Parker just told me about this awesome program over spring break called the Future Naturalists. Can I go?
When and where is it?
It is April 2 - 4 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and April 5 from 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Belle Isle State Park. I would get to go hiking and biking! They explore all over the park.  Last year they even got to watch the park do a prescribed burn. It's for ages 13 - 17, so my friends will all be there. And the best part is - it's totally free!
That sounds like a lot of fun! Yes, you can go.
Thanks Mom! You have to pre-register, the info is below.

If only making spring break plans could be this easy. With Belle Isle State Park's free Future Naturalist program, it is. Each day, participants get to explore the park while learning about nature observing, environmental stewardship, and identifying the plants and animals that call the Northern Neck of Virginia home.

Local experts will lead hands-on activities designed to engage the participants, while allowing them the freedom to have some fun. Participants only need to bring lunch, dress for outdoor activities, and be prepared to discover something new.
