Tell your folks that we dawgs love to hike at Virginia State Barks, we really love it.

Hey dawgs, Shawnee invites you to see more from this road trip and others here on her blog.

Aren't you glad we can stay in Virginia State Bark cabins with our family? Yawl can learn more about the cabins at Bear Creek Lake State Bark here. There's also a page devoted to accessibility in our barks here.

Remember, paws were meant to get muddy,

And if they aren't then yawl aren't tryin' hard 'nuff!

Now it's your turn yawl...Dawgs, if you had funzy wunzies at a Virginia State Bark, I would like to hear from you. Have your Mom or Dad email me a short story with a couple photos of you here, and I will put them on my blog series "Waggin' Trails" and share them with ever-body.

Editor's Note: If you missed some of their earlier adventures in Virginia State Parks, Shawnee Shep and her mom have been a great hiking team and live in New Jersey. This is a recent update from a visit to our Virginia State Parks, beginning back in 2011. Shawnee and her mom hiked most weekends and usually did long hikes, often 20 miles on a weekend. Nancy Heltman invited them to visit Virginia, or as Shawnee calls it Furginia, and write about their hikes.
