Ready, Set, Dance on the Routes of Rhythm Music Trail
Labor Day is almost here but that doesn't mean that you have missed all of your opportunities for fun at your favorite state park.
Routes of Rhythm Music Trail presents the Farm Use String Band performing at several Virginia State Parks in the central and Southside Virginia.
Ready, set, dance!
Don't miss the Farm Use String Band performances in the Routes of Rhythm Music Trail at Virginia State Parks
The music style involves plucking strings to create music perfectly fit for close harmonies. Music was just a part of life during that time. The traditions were passed down from generation to generation.
That is continuing today thanks to groups like the Farm Use Old Time String Band. The seven piece band plays old time music and offers contra dance lessons a half an hour before the show. It is a fun night of entertainment laced with a history lesson of music and dance styles.
Benchmark Community Bank is proud to sponsor the inaugural season for Routes of Rhythm Music Trail by Virginia State Parks.
