Pocahontas Premieres kicks-off it series with a performance by The Embers

Over the last several years, the Metro Richmond area has become a premium destination for great performances and concert goers can’t get enough. One of those destinations, Pocahontas State Park, is kicking off its summer concert series Pocahontas Premieres. This is a venue with loyal followers who keep coming back year after year.  What is the pull? It’s the great performances by a diverse variety of bands and the beautiful outdoor setting of the Heritage Amphitheater.

Six outdoor concerts are scheduled for the 2014 Premieres:

  • Friday, May 23rd  - An Evening with The Embers
  • Saturday,  June 21stLive Wire – an AC/DC Tribute Band
  • Saturday, June 28thHollywood Nights – a Bob Seger Tribute Band
  • Saturday, July 12th – Richmond Jazz Band
  • Friday, September 12thZoso – a Led Zeppelin Tribute Band
  • Saturday, September 13thRichmond Symphony

Heritage Amphitheater

The Heritage Amphitheater is nestled in the heart of Pocahontas State Park

The Premieres concerts are held at the beautiful Heritage Amphitheater located in the heart of the park. The park is located in Chesterfield County off Beach Road. For update-to-date concert information, click here, or click here to purchase tickets.

The park is located in Chesterfield County, about 20 miles from Richmond. It's easily accessible from Interstate 95, Route 288 and Route 360.

Drive Time: Northern Virginia, two hours; Richmond, half an hour; Tidewater/Norfolk/Virginia Beach, two hours; Roanoke, three hours.
