Monday Markets and Music Too
This summer local farmers, beekeepers, and bakers are offering their products for sale to park guests and folks from nearby communities (or those just passing through) at Fairy Stone State Park's Monday Markets.

Local vendors set up in the park for Monday Market

Home baked goodies are available too

Buying and eating local is good for you and the economy
Each Monday evening through September 1, 2014, vendors will be set up 5 - 7 p.m. at Picnic Shelters 3 and 4 (Allied Picnic Area). Parking fees are waived for those shopping at Monday Market. Just stop at the parking fee booth to get your free market pass, good for parking at the market area only.
Several new vendors have joined the market this season. In addition to the locally grown fresh produce, there will be homemade bread loaves and candies, fresh salsa, black walnuts, honey, fresh eggs, canned jams, jellies, pet treats, house plants and other baked goods.

Blues man Les Moore, shown performing at the recent Flowfest, returns for Monday Market
The market schedule also features live music.
This Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. August 11th Les Moore journeyman St. Louis blues player for over 20 years, will be playing for your shopping and listening pleasure. If you feel the music moving you to dance, well that's fine too.
Remaining musicians on the schedule this season are:
Aug 18 - Fred Weber and Holly Warren with a tribute to the Beatles and the Everly Brothers
Aug 25 - F.A.R.M. T.E.A.M. the ever popular local group
Sept 1 - Lee Pinkerson playing Native American influenced folk music.
Remember, all sales will support your local communities. Credit cards and personal checks may not be accepted by all vendors, so bring your shopping basket and plenty of cash.
