Dating apps have transformed the dating game, and now they’ve made their way to Virginia State Parks. Get to know our animal ambassadors a little better by checking out their profiles below. Would you swipe right for these good-looking rangers?

Meet Brutus

Lots of people who meet Brutus comment on how handsome he is, but he never lets it go to his head. Like a lot of brooding young men, he’s often misunderstood. Though he can seem a bit shy at first, he’s a curious guy who really opens up once you get to know him.

Meet Sal

Like Brutus, Sal is one good-looking guy—in fact, Sal (a corn snake) is often mistaken for his cousin Brutus (a copperhead) because they have similar markings. Like most snakes in Virginia, though, Sal has no venom. He’s just a quiet, kindhearted guy who loves kids.

Meet Myrtle

Ranger Myrtle isn’t originally from the area, though you wouldn’t know it by looking at her. She’s a Red-eared Slider turtle, and there are many around these parts, most were pets who were released into the wild.  Known for her independent attitude, if Myrtle didn’t work at Twin Lakes State Park, she’d be the CEO of a major corporation.

Now that you’ve had the chance to meet our rangers, what do you think? Who would you swipe right on in hopes of getting to know them a little better? Next time you’re out for a walk, see if you can find any individuals seeking meaningful relationships in your neighborhood. If you find any, be respectful, and don’t touch, pick up, or take home to meet your mom.
