Jingle Bark in the Park
Oh sure, Santa may have all kinds of presents for good little girls and boys, but what about your faithful four-legged friend?
Virginia State Parks doesn't want to leave your pooch out of the Holiday festivities. Come to the Jingle Bark in the Park at York River State Park on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from noon to 3:00 p.m.
C'mon Santa, I've been good all year!
There will be a dog walk along Woodstock Pond. Participating dogs will receive a set of jingle bells and a special treat. Plus, there will be a Holiday Hat and Outfit Contest. Owners can warm themselves up with coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies.
Also, we will show our love for less fortunate pets. Donations will be accepted for a new Park People/Pet Water Fountain. The Peninsula Pet Pantry will be accepting donations of pet food. So, come out and join the Friends of York River State Park for an afternoon of Holiday cheer!
Directions to York River State Park: From I-64, take the Croaker Exit 231B. Go north on Route 607 (Croaker Rd.) for one mile, then right on Route 606 (Riverview Rd.) about one and a half miles to the park entrance. Take a left turn into the park.
