Mark your calendar now for Saturday December 1, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Coming with your family or friends to support a runner? Enjoy the Wine Festival beginning at 10 a.m. It all starts and ends in the Historic Area of the park, so come run with us or just cheer on the participants.

The Crooked Run Valley Races offer a 5k, 10k and half marathon

You don't need to register for a race to purchase a wine tasting ticket or enjoy accompanying events. Event proceeds benefit the Friends of Sky Meadows, a group that supports park programming.

Taste and experience the flavors of the Crooked Run Valley

Stop by the wine tent and sample three wines each from five local wineries. Tastings available from Philip Carter Winery, Valley View Wines, Desert Rose Ranch and Winery, and Slater Run Vineyards and more. Hinson Ford Cider and Mead will join us to offer tastings as well. Come experience what our local wineries produce.

There is fun for the whole family. Keep warm by the bonfire, or experience a free tour of the historic Mt. Bleak House decorated for the holidays, children’s play area, live music, and other activities.

A program tent will be set up featuring local artisans and activities, including the Beekeepers of Northern Shenandoah, Hollin Farms, Wollam Gardens and more. Enjoy food provided by Talk of the Mountain Seafood, as well as hot drinks and lite fare provided by the Friends Group. 

The park offers 22 miles of hiking trails, 9 miles of equestrian trails, 5 miles of bike trails, a fishing pond, children’s Discovery Area and picnicking.

Wine Festival Tickets can be purchased when you register and even if you aren't racing

Registration includes entrance to the park for the entire day. When registering for the races, you have the choice to add the Wine Festival ticket. Plus, there are tons of hiking trails to keep you entertained after the race and wine festival. We hope to see you at Sky Meadows State Park.
