Caledon State Park’s Annual Youth Outdoors Day!

September 21st 2013 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

On Saturday Sept 21st Caledon State Park will host the 6th Annual Youth Outdoors Day. This is a safe and educational way to introduce children between the ages of 6 and 16 to a wide variety of outdoor skills and activities. There will be both an archery range and an air rifle range to test marksmanship abilities!  Both ranges will have instructors to guide participants.

There will be K-9 demonstrations from the King George Sheriff’s Office and the VA Dept of Game and Inland Fisheries.

The Patawomeck Indians of Virginia will have a Native American village display and will demonstrate a legacy of skills including hide tanning and flint napping.

Caledon State Park’s Annual Youth Outdoors Day!

Throughout the day there will be displays and activity booths from The Friends of Caledon State park, King George Parks and Recreation,the Fredericksburg/Northern Neck Chapter of the VA Deer Hunters Association and more. Activities are recommended for Children ages 6-16. Participants are requested to pre-register by calling between the hours of 9:00a.m. & 4:00 p.m.
