First Time Visitor Park Information for Shenandoah River State Park
Shenandoah River Raymond R. “Andy” Guest, Jr. State Park is one of the park’s I try to visit often and the scenery still captures my attention every time I drive down the entrance road, the mountain views are so beautiful!

If you are visiting the park for the first time or even returning for a visit here is some basic information about opening and closing times, where the park is located, and how big it is.
Shenandoah River State Park is generally open from 8 a.m. to dusk, 365 days a year, but may be closed for special events.
The park is 1619 acres with 5.6 miles of river frontage along the South fork of the Shenandoah River. Located off of Route 340, eight miles south of Front Royal and 15 miles north of Luray. The address is 350 Daughter of Stars Drive, Bentonville, VA 22610.
- There are 24 miles of trails, seven of which are multi-use trails.
- The park is a trash-free facility. The only refuse collection area is at Culler’s Overlook.
- The Visitor Center is open from 8 a.m.. to noon and 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., 365 days a year.
- A park ranger is always on duty. If a park ranger is needed after the Visitor Center has closed, call the Ranger on Duty number which is posted around the park. Cell phone coverage in the park is very limited.
- The park has cabins and campgrounds
- WIFI can be accessed from the deck at the Visitor Center and in front of the building.
- The park is pet friendly, and pets must be on a leash no longer than six feet.
