Make a point to stop by the park Saturday, October 20, 2018 as the park comes alive with this family centered fall celebration.
Fall-ing hard for Twin Lakes
Fall for Twin Lakes returns for another round of family fun in Central Virginia
FALL FUN
Bring the family out to enjoy hayrides, face painting, a pumpkin patch and pumpkin decorating, and many tasty treats for sale. We'll also have a bouncy castle and a corn play pit for the little ones.
CAMPGROUND CONTEST
We'll kick off a Trick-or-Treat Parade with a hayride at 2:45 p.m. to transport participants from the concession stand to the campground where many of our overnight guests will be competing in a campsite decorating contest.
Overnight guests are vying for the first-place prize of a $100 Virginia State Parks gift card, so the sites are sure to be frighteningly good.
TRICK OR TREAT
Children 12 and under should be dressed in their scariest costumes and join us for a trick-or-treat hike around the campground to discover who has the best site and candy.
We're fairly certain this doesn't count as bad luck at Twin Lakes State Park
CAMPING DISCOUNT
Twin Lakes State Park is again offering a 20% discount on camping for those who stay both nights of the festival (October 19 and 20) and agree to participate in both the Campsite Decoration contest and Trick or Treat Parade by passing out candy. There are only a few sites still available, but we would love to have all of them booked and participating in the festival this year. To make a reservation, call 1-800-933-7275, or reserve online using Promo Code TL18HLWN.
HAUNTING ON THE LAKE
For more seasonal fun, be sure to check out the Haunting on the Lake, a half-mile of horror through the forests of Prince Edward-Gallion from 7-10 p.m. this same evening.
Twin Lakes State Park is near Farmville, about an hour southwest of Richmond. Click here for Google map directions, or here to learn more about this fantastic park.
