Celebrate Hamburger Day May 28
It’s ”rare” to find something so good that people crave it around the world, we’re talking about Hamburgers, and yeah there’s a day for that, Hamburger Day is May 28.
Just like you, we're super excited that summer is fast approaching, and we have the chance to fire up our grills and let the juices run down to our elbows from the burgers we plan on flipping this year.
Here is a little background information on the day and ways to celebrate Hamburger Day on May 28. Happy Hamburger Day #HamburgerDay from Virginia State Parks.
”Man who invented the hamburger was smart; Man who invented the cheeseburger was a genius.” ~Matthew McConaughey
VEGETARIANS COVER YOUR EYES
There is just nothing quite as delicious as a burger cooked outside over an open flame. Fortunately for us, we happen to have hundreds of official Virginia State Park campfire rings and grills available to do exactly that. You don't have to stay overnight to use one, you can find them in our picnic areas as well.
Historically speaking, the invention of the hamburger has been claimed by so many that there’s only one real origin, that's Hamburg, Germany. But as Americans we have perfected that flame grilled beauty, and how!
Okay so just to be fair, Vegetarians, if you want to get in on this delectable day, go ahead and bring your veggie burger, we won’t laugh. We might smile, but we won’t laugh, and we might even share our pickles, lettuce, onion and sesame seed buns with you.
