Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Candlelight Series begins

The Cove Ridge Center at Natural Tunnel State Park annually hosts the “Candlelight Series." The series features local bands of various genres and is sponsored by the Cove Ridge Foundation Cultural Arts Council.

The Diamonds

Come out and enjoy the smooth sounds of The Diamonds

On Sunday, February 26, 2012, come and listen to the Diamonds. The group is from East Tennessee. They play swing, groove-funk, and Latin jazz. Their music is laid back jazz at a comfortable volume. The group has performed at various venues and events throughout the region. The individuals that make up this group have performed with several popular musicians from Lyle Lovett to Jeff Coffin of the Dave Matthews Band.

Admission is just $8.00 per person at the door. The program will be held at the Cove Ridge Center at Natural Tunnel State Park. The music is from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday February 26.
