Be a part of the 4th Annual Gobble Wobble 5K Run
Join the Friends of Westmoreland State Park for a little fun right before your Thanksgiving Feast as we take to the scenic trails and roads of the park for the 4th annual Gobble Wobble 5k Race on November 19, 2016.
The Gobble Wobble 5k Race will be held on the trails and roads within Westmoreland State Park. Part of the 5K Run will follow Turkey Neck Trail (yes that is the real name of the trail) and Rock Spring Pond Trail, enjoy the beautiful fall colors as you trot along.
And the trails are just a little hilly in some spots so be prepared for a moderate challenge. Runners are welcome to visit Westmoreland State Park before hand to test the trails out for yourself.
Look who is checking out the trails?
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each division, and door prizes.
Divisions:
- 12 and under
- 13-17
- 18-29
- 30-39
- 40-49

Get your gobble on
Bring your family and friends to cheer you on and give yourself some extra time to enjoy the park while you are there, fall is the perfect time of year to explore. Picnic tables can be found along the beach and other locations throughout the park.
Change your running gear out for your fossil hunting gear and take a short hike to fossil beach to look for sharks teeth and ancient fossils.
Interested in volunteering but not running?
Then, come out to the park and meet some of our volunteers with the Friends of Westmoreland, a citizen support organization. You could make a difference in your community and have fun while doing it.
