Apple Festival is November 2 at Widewater State Park
What better way to spend a beautiful fall afternoon and evening then at Widewater State Park's first ever Apple Festival?
Staff and volunteers have been hard at work preparing special games and activities just for you and your family to celebrate the fall apple harvest. Food, games and programs followed by a warm bonfire and night hike.

All Seasons Ice Skating Rink
Apple Festival activities include:
- All-Season Ice-Skating Rink (extra $5 skate rental) - enjoy skating in the great outdoors
- Giant Apple Catapult - try to hit 2 glowing target canoes anchored in the Aquia Creek
- Caramel Apple Creation Station - visitors can choose their own apple and toppings then watch as their treat is created right before their eyes
- Sight in the Night Hike - hike will take visitors through the woods at night while they learn about nocturnal animals and found out what they can see in the dark
- Kids Crafts - Kids can make a fall leaf hedgehog, and pipe cleaner pumpkins
- Corn hole – Enjoy custom made Corn hole and basket toss that is played with bushel barrels
- Apple Dapple Tic Tac Toe – Move around an 8'X8' checker board and two super-sized tic tac toe boards, with especially made tree cookies
- The Lighting of the Bonfire at the Patawomeck Village (7:00 p.m.)
