The 8th Annual New Year's Eve Celebration at Fairy Stone State Park will once again be held in Fayerdale Hall beginning at 9:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. You and your friends can dance, laugh, and ring the new year in to the sounds of a local DJ. 3. | START THE NEW YEAR OUT ON THE RIGHT FOOT

This year we will meet at the Stuart's Knob Trail parking lot at 10 a.m. where a park ranger will guide you on a mile-long hike though the Stuart's Know trails system while sharing the history of the park through the years. From the Native Americans to present day operations, with special history of the iron mines in the mountain. The program will last about an hour.
Parking fees are waved for the First Day Hike and the first 100 visitors will receive a First Day Hikes bumper sticker. And make sure you check out our New Year Challenge and First Day Hike Photo Contest. The Grand Prize is a $500 gift certificate for both, plus other prizes will be awarded.
