Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Caledon Art & Wine Festival has become known as one of the best festivals in Virginia

10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Join us on the gently sloping lawn of the park for a day of sipping, eating and getting your Holiday shopping completed. Take advantage of the hayrides that will be offered throughout the day, and don’t forget to bring your camera. Caledon State Park is a National Natural Landmark because of its old growth hardwood forest, so the fall colors should give you a special show.

Food vendors this year are Sho-Nuff BBQ, Anna Bakery and Normandie Cuisine.
Artisans will be selling their fabulous designs that include pottery, jewelry, photography and varied mixed media. Fine Alpaca outerwear and crocheted creations will be available just in time for winter.

Why is this event so popular?
- Location, location location: Caledon State Park is located just 20 minutes from Fredericksburg, one hour from Richmond and is just across the Potomac River from Maryland.
- 10 wineries for $10 bucks and that includes a keepsake commemorative glass
- Did I mention location? The park is one of the jewels of Virginia with lots of room for vendors, wineries and participants alike.

What you need to know:
You MUST be 21 or over to taste, please bring your ID, yes even Grandpa will get carded
No outside coolers or alcohol please
The event is rain or shine
To taste the cost is $10 and includes a beautiful wine glass. Free admission to the event grounds for non-sippers or designated drivers.
There is a $5 parking fee
Pets are welcome, but not in food/dining area. Please keep them on a leash and any “droppings" disposed of properly. Thank you!
This is a family friendly event with things for the kids to do such as corn hole and hayrides
There will be a winery staged inside the visitor center.
The park’s gift shop will have special deals for the day.

All proceeds from the event go to support educational programming in the park and community.
