Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Quietly sitting in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains, with a sparkling lake, rustic cabins and hiking trails on nearly 5000 wooded acres is Fairy Stone State Park.

The park is just a short drive from Martinsville Virginia, and about an hour south of Roanoke. Fayerdale Hall is a rustic structure perched back from the lakeside, and has everything you need to host the perfect wedding or reception.

Fayerdale Hall has a full kitchen for your use, or catering company. A dance floor (with disco ball), large river rock fireplace, and seats about 100 for a sit down meal. Tables and chairs are included in the rental fee and you can also rent white tablecloths for just $3 per table.

The venue is available weekends, but is offered heavily discounted for weekday rentals throughout the year. The facility has WIFI and your guests are not charged a park entrance (parking) fee. Pets are not permitted inside the venue. You can reserve this space up to 11 months in advance.

Fayerdale Hall at Fairy Stone State Park is waiting for you

Fairy Stone State Park has a lodge that sleeps up to 16, and is a wonderful place for family and friends to gather before the wedding ceremony. It has a large kitchen and two big sitting areas near a fireplace. It can also be rented as part of the bridal suite for the wedding party to make preparations (minimum stays required).

Lodges, halls, picnic shelters and cabins host guests, and are frequently occupied, so you won't be able to have a walk-through at any state park venue without an appointment, call the park to make arrangements at 276-930-2424.
