Love Story: Cindy's Springtime in Paris
Posted February 23, 2014
Springtime in Paris. I’ve heard nothing better.
The next best thing, hiking in Sky Meadows State Park with a wonderful view of Paris, Virginia. Add to that a man, his dog and an engagement ring. After a lifetime of knowing each other (we met in 5th grade - 1968) we finally get it right. The bright sunshine and rolling vista were the perfect setting. The stress of Christmas, elderly parents and demanding jobs went by the wayside for the day.

Sky Meadows State Parks in the Springtime
Part of my favorite Robert Frost poem (and I paraphrase) goes:
“Two Roads Diverged in a Yellow Wood, and I – I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.”
Frank & I have been wandering through Virginia State Parks for several years now. And for us, that has made all the difference.
We have been to a number of state parks but Sky Meadows, with its challenging short trails, views to be envied, and wonderful facilities are a setting no one should miss.
Thanks,
Cindy Peryea
