2017 Master Naturalist Training by Award Winning Pocahontas Chapter

Pocahontas Chapter of Virginia Master Naturalists is now accepting applications for Master Naturalist Training Classes at Pocahontas State Park in Chesterfield County, Virginia.

Award winning Pocahontas Chapter of Virginia Master Naturalists is accepting training applications from now until October 30, 2016 for the 2017 Basic Training Classes, which will be held January 10 to the end of April. There will be a fee of approximately $125 to cover the costs of the VMN Basic Training classes.
The Virginia Master Naturalist Program is a statewide corps of volunteers providing education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities.
Blue Ridge Foothills and Lakes (BRFAL) Chapter controlled burn hike at Douthat State Park
Become Master Naturalists through 40 hours of basic training and field trips. The curriculum includes: basic ecology, geology, herpetology, botany, ornithology, dendrology, native species, entomology, mammalogy, ichthyology and more.
