Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.
Early Eagle Paddle

Join us to paddle along the shores of Swift Creek to learn more about our national symbol, its role in our environment, and the challenges its faced and overcame.
All equipment and instructions will be provided. Suitable for ages 6 and up.
Boats are limited and attendees must register in advance at the park office or by calling 804-796-4255. $9 per person or $6 per person in a group of 4 or more. Fees may be paid upon registration, or at start of program and must be in cash or check (credit cards accepted at park office only). Please bring plenty of water and snacks, wear close-toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty and/or wet. Arrive 15 minutes early.
