Great American Campout

park locationWhere

Holliday Lake State Park, 2759 State Park Rd., Appomattox, VA 24522. Beach Area.

When

June 22, 2019. 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Sleeping outside using a shelter is not, by any means, a recent way of life. Modern camping is just a continuation of an ancient necessity before we had permanent homes. The Great American Campout celebrates our camping history by encouraging everyone to participate in that time-honored tradition this weekend. Are you new to camping? No worries. We will have various types of camping equipment set up near the white beach tent and will be demonstrating outdoor skills like knot tying and fire building by request.

You can even make reservations to camp overnight in our campground by calling 800-933-PARK (7275).
