Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Join us at High Bridge Trail for self-guided hikes of your choosing on one or several trails that our park has available for your exploration. See High Bridge from the ADA accessible main trail, or choose a more rugged route to see what the substructure looks like from the river valley.

We recommend the Camp Paradise parking access because of its proximity to many important features and conveniences that our park offers, including an earthen fortification guarding High Bridge from the Civil War times. Our merchandise trailer will be on site, as well as roving rangers to provide information or assistance. Step forward into 2021 at High Bridge Trail State Park, and hopefully into a better year. It certainly will be a great start.
