Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m. through April 30 per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

The Great American Campout; Camping on High Bridge - an Elevated Adventure

Have you ever wanted to campout on, not at, but ON High Bridge? This is your chance. High Bridge Trail will open the bridge to kids and their families for camping on this special weekend evening, starting at 6 p.m. on Friday night and concluding at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Several programs will take place such as campfire tales and a hike.

40 sites are available. To get a reservation for one of the available camping spaces on High Bridge, contact our customer service center at 1-800-933-PARK, or use Reserve America.

Tents must be free-standing because staking will be impossible on the bridge surface. Tents must have a maximum width of 6 feet, and be no longer than 10 feet so as not to block pedestrian passage. Space is limited on the bridge. Tents wider than 6 feet will not be permitted to camp on the bridge. There will be a maximum of 6 persons per site. Open fires, alcoholic beverages, and pets are prohibited. Parking will be at Camp Paradise.
