Filmed on location throughout Southwest Virginia, the RESOLVED TO LIVE AND DIE documentary brings to life the pivotal role Southwest Virginia played in shaping the American Revolution.

Our park was once part of Fincastle County. In 1775—more than a year before the Declaration of Independence—local leaders boldly signed the Fincastle Resolutions, a document that echoed the fearless desire for political liberty that would soon ignite a nation. This film ensures that the story of the Fincastle Resolutions and the courageous individuals behind them will never be forgotten.

A co-production of Blue Ridge PBS, PBS Appalachia, the Wilderness Road Regional Museum, and the Willowbrook Jackson/Umberger Homestead Museum.

Meeting place: Amphitheater in the Historic Village of Foster Falls.
Admission to the program is free. VA State Park parking fees still apply.
