Earth Week Tree Planting

Where
Program Location: Splash Park
Main Park Address: Occoneechee State Park, 1192 Occoneechee Park Rd., Clarksville, VA 23927.
When
April 18, 2026. 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Join us for the planting of native tree seedlings from Virginia’s Department of Forestry. We will have white oak seedlings that have been sourced from trees that are over 250 years old around the state, as well as dogwood and redbud seedlings. Attendees will have the opportunity to help plant the trees, so be sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves. Bug spray, sunscreen, and a water bottle are also good to have on hand.
This is a joint event with the Department of Recreation and Conservation, the Department of Forestry, and the Friends of Occoneechee State Park.
