Happy spring! With spring comes new growth in the form of flowers blooming, leaves budding out, and baby critters growing up.

As the seasons change and the weather begins to turn, Claytor Lake State Park will be doing spring hayrides around the park on April 4th, April 18th, and May 2nd. The hayrides will start at 12:00 P.M. and go until 3:00 P.M. with every hayride lasting ~1 hour. To attend this program, you MUST sign up to reserve a seat as seating is limited on the trailer. To sign up, please use this link here to go to  https://tinyurl.com/CLSPspringhayride. An interpretive ranger will be on the trailer giving a tour of the park, discussing the beauty of spring, and other natural things we'll see as we ride around.

We hope to see you in the park!

Accommodations:

Please note that we will be getting on and off the trailer a few times to observe and discuss the blooms around the park. This requires going up and down stairs upon first entering the trailer and the final getting off the trailer. Please be aware that stairs will not be available during the stops so getting off and back on the trailer may be difficult. Rangers will be present to assist in any way.
