When armies clashed during the American Civil War, often times following a battle bizarre, inexplicable, curious, strange twists of fate and ironic circumstance astonishingly revealed themselves. The Battles of Sailor's Creek was no different in this regard with multiple stories that seem to have come straight from the Twilight Zone.
Park Ranger Lee Wilcox will host a presentation on these "Strange But True" episodes that occurred during and immediately after the pivotal April 6, 1865 battle as part of Virginia's "History and Culture" weekend of educational activities.
