Do you have what it takes to be a junior ranger? Join our rangers in fun programs and activities that will train you to become Westmoreland's new crew of Junior Rangers! Wear shoes you can hike in and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! Pack a lunch, water, bug spray, and sunscreen. Meet us at 9:00 a.m. at the Discovery Center!
This program recommended for ages 8-13 and is limited to 25 participants. To register, email kyle.keister@dcr.virginia.gov by May 9th. More information about the day is listed in the flier attached below!
About National Kids to Parks Day
Virginia State Parks celebrates National Kids to Parks Day on the third Saturday in May by offering a variety of fun, family-friendly activities, from nature scavenger hunts and ranger-led hikes to fishing clinics and flora and fauna wagon rides. This annual event encourages kids to explore the outdoors while learning about wildlife and engaging in hands-on environmental education.
