What's in our Water?

Where
Program Location: Visitor Center
Main Park Address: Widewater State Park, 101 Widewater State Park Road, Stafford, VA 22554.
When
March 29, 2026. 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Water, no matter if it comes from oceans, rivers, or rain, tells us a story. From the chemicals in the water, to the tiny organisms living within it, even a tiny droplet has plenty to say.
With the help of a freshwater testing kit and a microscope, join us in exploring the less noticed world of our aquatic ecosystems. Learn about pollution, water quality, and an otherworldly ecosystem too small to see with the naked eye.
This program will be held in the Visitor Center.
