Calling all birders and nature enthusiasts. Birding and wildlife viewing are hobbies enjoyed by enthusiasts around the world. Whether you are new to the world of nature observation or a lifelong enthusiast, join Rangers on a guided hike and wildlife watching experience on Shearman’s Mill trail, located at the Lost Mountain entrance of the park. Visitors will enjoy a leisurely stroll through dense forest, learning how to hear, spot, and identify native birds and the other wildlife that call this part of the park home. This hike is an easy/moderate one-mile loop with variable elevation.

Please note this trail experience is located at the Lost Mountain entrance of the park at 1127 Winchester Road, Delaplane, VA 20144.
