Join author and photographer Jack Gates for an engaging presentation and book signing celebrating the beauty and history of spring wildflowers in the Eastern Woodlands. Based on his newly published book, Spring Wildflowers of Eastern Woodlands: Photos, Facts, and Folklore, this program explores several species of wildflowers through stunning photography and fascinating stories gathered over 36 years.

Participants will discover:

- Unique plant facts and identification tips

- Historic medicinal uses by Indigenous peoples and early settlers

- Folklore and food traditions tied to these plants

- The importance of conservation for future generations
