The Friends of York River State Park is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the mission of the park: We champion the unique natural, historical, and cultural resources of York River State Park's estuarine environment. We provide labor and materials for vital projects that enhance the interpretive, educational, and outdoor recreation opportunities for park visitors. Through authentic community engagement and advocacy, we advance the park's mission to conserve these resources for future generations.

The FOYRSP meets monthly on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:30. Typically during the winter months (October-December) and in case of inclement weather, meetings are held virtually. Please contact the President at president@yrspfriends.org if you are interested in becoming a member or attending a virtual meeting. Meetings and other updates will also be communicated on the FOYRSP Facebook page.
