Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park is thrilled to announce the spring semester of the WiseJAMS Music Program!

WiseJAMS is dedicated to preserving the rich Appalachian Mountain music heritage by offering affordable, after-school classes in fiddle, old-time banjo, and guitar for small groups of students.

Classes will be held every Thursday from 3:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. and are open to students in grades 3–8. Participants are expected to attend all weekly sessions. Each class includes an after-school snack and a 90-minute music lesson.

We strive to keep costs low so every child can participate: $150 per semester for full pay, $75 per semester for partial pay. Scholarships are available for families with financial need.

Instruments will be provided on loan at no cost for the duration of the program.
