The Friends group is a dedicated volunteer organization made up of community members who actively support the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park. Their mission is to enhance the park experience by assisting with daily programs, special events, fundraising efforts, and public education.

Through this partnership, the talents, connections, and resources of local citizens and businesses help provide services and opportunities that might not otherwise be available. Activities include summer music camps and concerts, interpretive programs, and support for the WiseJAMS Music Program—just to name a few.

The Friends meet on the first Monday of each month at 6-7 p.m., except in June and July. Join a meeting and discover how you can make a difference while exploring all that the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park has to offer!
