Humans have relied on fire for heat, light, and cooking since prehistoric times. This ranger-led program teaches you how to safely build, light, and maintain different types of campfires, and how to know which one to use. All ages are welcome, but be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes. The program will be held at the fire pit near Shelter 2. 

In case in inclement weather, please check this page prior to coming to the park. Cancellations will be posted by close of business the day before the program.
