New River Trail State Park has more than 127 bird species including ducks, songbirds, and Bald Eagles. On this Morning Bird Walk we'll look and listen for birds along the New River Trail as we participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count hosted by the Audubon Society and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

Make sure you dress for the weather and bring water. If you have binoculars, please bring them; if not, binoculars will be available to borrow.

Meet outside the Discovery Center at Foster Falls at 8 a.m.
We'll walk together to look and listen for birds and identify and record the birds that we observe.

If you would like to observe and report birds at another time during the Great Backyard Bird Count February 13-16, visit the GBBC website for additional details about how to participate.
