Ever wondered what a skunk’s fur feels like or how big a bobcat’s skull really is? Come explore the fascinating world of Virginia’s wildlife—up close and hands-on! Stop by our table to examine a variety of animal pelts and skulls, and test your skills at matching each skull to its animal. Feel the surprisingly soft fur of critters like the opossum and fox, and learn how these animals adapt to winter conditions. Rangers may also share insights into what local wildlife is up to during the colder months—whether they’re hibernating, migrating, or toughing it out. Come for the fur, stay for the facts!
