Just as caterpillars grow and change, our Caterpillar Club programs are designed to help your little one grow and change. Each week, we will have you and your child(ren) exploring our natural world through a variety of seasonally appropriate, hands-on activities that will foster children's inborn sense of wonder and curiosity. These experiences are gauged towards early childhood (3-5 years old), but of course, all family members are welcome and encouraged to participate. Every program supports Virginia's Blocks for Early Learning.

Please dress for the weather. We are meeting at the Visitor Center, except on January 1st, until spring.

January 1- First Day Hike: Stretch your legs and spread your wings as we learn about birds. MEETS AT THE PICNIC SHELTER BY THE PLAYGROUND
January 8 - Sticker Hike: Celebrate National Sticker Day early by taking a hike to look for stickers
January 15 - Squirrelers: Celebrate National Squirrel Appreciation Day early by play squirrel games and making a squirrel call.
January 22 - Choo Choo on 1/22: Take a kid-friendly look at the park's past and its ties to the railroad.
January 29 - Evergreens in Winter: Use all your senses to explore evergreens and the winter season.
