In honor of the Full Wolf Moon on January 3rd, we are holding a celebration 5:30-6:30 p.m. to watch it rise over the eastern treeline across Holliday Lake. Stay warm by the campfire, learn some wolf history, and capture that ever-elusive perfect moon picture. This is a supermoon bound to inspire your journey into 2026.

You can bring chairs to sit near the campfire or lake if you prefer not to stand. Please note that this event may be cancelled due to inclement weather. You may request to be notified in case of cancellation by contacting the Park Office at 434-248-6308 or emailing hollidaylake@dcr.virginia.gov.
