Join our rangers on a guided hike and learn about our native species, park history, and wetland habitat. Meet at the Visitor Center before the hike. Long Pond trail is an approximately 1-mile-long loop trail that goes by both Long Pond and Aquia Creek. Holly Marsh is about 2 miles long and is an out and back trail that goes to the Potomac River. Both trails are moderate in difficulty. 

12/7 : Holly Marsh

12/14 & 12/20 : Long Pond

12/28 : Holly Marsh

Bring a water bottle or thermos with a hot drink and dress for the weather in warm clothes! Remember to check the conditions outside before coming as there may be ice or snow on the ground.

Pets are welcome on this hike so long as they are friendly towards adults, children, and other pets. They must remain on leash the entire hike. 

In the case of inclement weather and the program must be cancelled, please check this page prior to coming to the park.
