Join a ranger to learn about science, history, and nature at Leesylvania State Park! Please check the dates below for specific topics and be sure to sign up. This program is intended for children ages 5-17 years old.
January 16, 2025: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Leesylvania Ladders: Have you ever wondered what Leesylvania would have looked like 20,000 years ago, or who lived here in the 1700's? Now is your chance to learn all about Leesylvania's history. Rangers will guide you on a museum tour followed by a history board game played as a team. Can your team answer all the questions correctly?
February 6, 2025: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Nature's Nursery: Do you want to know more about how animals parent their young? Join Rangers to learn how the parents of raccoons, foxes, and osprey take care of their offspring.
February 20, 2025: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Slime Science: Have you ever wondered what gives slime its unique properties? Come be a scientist for the day with our park rangers! Join us to try a new science experiment and learn about the world around us. You'll have the chance to make slime while learning all about it!
