Kick off the holiday season with a parade! The Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park and Park Rangers will represent Smith Mountain Lake State Park with a float in the Bedford Christmas Parade. Park staff and volunteers will ride on the park's "Nature in Winter" decorated pontoon boat. The float will be accompanied by students from Huddleston Elementary School, dressed as local wildlife, as the parade winds through downtown Bedford. Come celebrate the season with us as you enjoy the festivities of the parade, and of course a visit from Santa Claus.
