This January, homeschoolers will learn winter outdoor skills, like how to safely start a campfire, navigating with a map and compass, and the basics of fishing. 

*Note: The same program is offered twice a week, on Monday morning and Wednesday afternoon. 

 

Mondays, 11AM-12PM

1/5 : Knot-tying

1/12 : Fishing

1/19 : Fire-starting

1/26 : Orienteering

 

Wednesdays, 1PM-2PM

1/7 : Knot-tying

1/14 : Fishing

1/21 : Fire-starting

1/28 : Orienteering

As the days are getting shorter and the weather becomes cooler, make sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated. Hikes and other outdoor activities should be anticipated for any of these programs. 

In case in inclement weather, please check this page prior to coming to the park. Cancellations will be posted by close of business the day before the program.
