Did you know the Shenandoah Valley has been home to people for over 10,000 years? Join our park ranger for a fascinating one-hour presentation exploring the deep and enduring Native American history of our park and the Shenandoah Valley.
After the presentation, stick around for Prehistoric Precision at 2:30 p.m., where you’ll get hands-on experience using an atlatl—an ancient spear-throwing tool used by early peoples.
This program is open to all ages, though it may be best enjoyed by those 8 and up.
