Experience the healing benefits of nature! Forest Bathing, also known as Forest Therapy, is a slow, mindful immersion in nature that originated in Japan. During a single morning session, the guide will lead you in voluntary activities called invitations as we slowly move through the Forest and connect with the environment using all of our senses. This practice helps participants let go of the busyness of everyday life and experience the soothing sensuality of nature.

Forest Bathing is deeply grounding and has many health benefits, including lowering blood pressure, boosting the immune system, and alleviating stress. It also helps clear the mind and increase creativity.

You should wear clothing appropriate for the weather, closed-toed shoes, and bring bug repellent, sunscreen, and water. Your guide will bring the rest.

This program is for individuals 16 years and older and is limited to 18 participants. There is no extra fee for this program; however, registration is required. You can register by clicking here.   Or simply calling the Visitor Center during open hours. Friday - Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 703.339-2385
