"Echoes of the Past: Guardians of History" is a park ranger-led program dedicated to the preservation, interpretation, and celebration of history.

Every Saturday in October, we invite you to stand where history was made and help ensure it endures. Preserving Sailor’s Creek is a special program devoted to the care and conservation of one of Virginia’s final Civil War battlegrounds. Walk the storied landscape, learn how restoration protects its fields and forests, and discover how you can play a role in safeguarding its legacy. From historic structures to sacred soil, every effort honors the past and prepares the way for future generations to remember, reflect, and walk these grounds with purpose.

This program is free and open to the public, rain or shine. Web alerts will be posted online for scheduled program adjustments or unexpected cancellations. For more information, please call ahead at (804) 561-7510.
