Discover the fascinating natural history of Westmoreland State Park on this guided hike down to Fossil Beach. Learn how this special place became the fossiliferous resource it is. You might even find your very own fossil to take home.

Please bring your sunscreen, bug spray, and plenty of drinking water. A hat and water shoes are also recommended. There are no restroom facilities at Fossil Beach, so we advise stopping off at the Visitor Center on your way to the trail.

Please note that while we do allow small sifters, digging tools are prohibited. Additionally, digging in the cliffs is prohibited, extremely dangerous, and punishable by law.
