Take in the crisp air and the brilliant colors of autumn as we stroll along Douthat’s scenic lakefront. Fiery reds, golden yellows, and bright oranges set the backdrop as you discover the history of one of Virginia’s oldest state parks. Learn when the park first opened, how the Civilian Conservation Corps shaped its early days, and the stories behind some of the oldest structures still standing today. This short, easy walk blends the beauty of fall with the rich history of Douthat. Meet at Camp Malone Picnic Shelter.
