Twilight Hike and Campfire - Winter Preparations

Nov. 8, 2025. 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Explore the trees of Sweet Run with Beth Sastre a horticulturist with Virginia Cooperative Extension, Loudoun from 5:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. Along the way Beth will share all about spotted lanternflies, an invasive species that has caused an impact to forests and agriculture. The guided hike will follow Farmstead Loop and visit some of our historic structures as well. Following the hike meet at the Interpretive Center from 6:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. for a campfire and some tales of Sweet Run State Park and how the inhabitants may have prepared for winter. Wear comfortable hiking shoes and dress for the weather. Bring a chair or blanket for the campfire. Marshmallows will be provided for roasting.
